Commissioning
A commissioning agent’s job is to ensure that a building’s systems and performance match the owner’s expectations, from initial design to completion.
To be commissioned, a building must pass several milestones. From building design review, installation verification, functional performance testing, ongoing efficiency verification, LEED Accreditation, and CALGreen Commissioning, 3C has you covered.

Commissioning Process
Commissioning Process
1. Project Kick-Off
The process starts with a Pre-Design Kick-Off meeting with the Architect and Owner during which the Owner Project Requirements (OPR) and Basis of Design (BOD) is drafted.
2. Pre-Site Commissioning
Next, an Iterative Design Review with A&E team is drafted and completed. Along with that, the OPR, BOD, Commissioning Plan and Documents are submitted.
3. Construction Phase
A construction kick-off meeting is held with the General Contractor, Project Manager, Architects, Subcontractor, and Commissioning Agent. Site inspections are completed during this phase.
4. Functional Performance Testing
Commissioning Agent in coordination with the General Contractor and Sub-Contractors, perform the Functional Performance Tests, review air balance, and provide owner training.
5. Project Close-Out
Commissioning Agent creates a final commissioning report and compiles the owners manual, working along with the Architect, General Contractor, and Owner.
Commissioning is most effective when started early in the design phase.
Let’s ensure that your next project delivers on time, meets your requirements, and is optimized for energy efficiency.
